You knew we were soul mates

This bind was formed in heaven
by the Ancient One above
You took me into your teepee
and asked me for my hand
Then the ritual was preformed
like the Great Chief, He had planned
By the fireside we vowed our love
by the full moon we did marry
I have loved you for so many springs
my heart for you I carried
I feel that I have known you
forever and a day
My soul is yours, you have it all
as the winds blow across the bay
And as the smoke rises to the sky
our souls along it brings
A new song is heard in the camp tonight
the sound that my happy heart sings
You are my mighty warrior
and I am your mate for life
Our souls are forever joined in love
with this union we vow tonight
So as we dance this dance of love
by the drums echoing in the night
The elders smile upon us now
as our souls are joined in flight
Tom toms sounding in the air
your eyes with mine they meet
I perform a ritual dance of love
with drums sounding in the heat
I take a feather from my hair
and place it in your hand
You smile at me and stroke my cheek
as a tear falls to the sand
Standing here hand in hand
looking towards the sky
We watch our souls drift to heaven
with a love that will never die
