You once would bring me roses
with colors of rare hue
Our love was fresh and beautiful
like the morning misty dew

We lived within our garden
singing a true love song
My heart was free and happy
then somehow something went wrong

The flowers you once gave me
wilted and they died
I sit here in our garden
all alone and now I cry

I cry because I miss you
even though you are still here
Close by and yet so far away
I've lost you, this I fear

I've tried to keep love growing

Dark clouds, they are all around me
