Our children are the future
and we hold them in our hands
We determine how to raise them
whether they fail or become a man
No child is born with hatred
or prejudice on his mind
If we raise them up in God's way
all will be loving and kind
Too many young lives are lost
by repeating the sins we've made
Because they are loving and trusting
and follow the paths we've laid
Whether it be tomorrow
or ten years down the road
The way we raise this precious one
in his life, it will be told
Yes, our children are the future
more precious then silver or gold
Let's raise them up and make them strong
when it's their turn, our future they hold
