We walked along the garden path
together you and me
And at the end of the lane there
was an orchid tree
We gazed upon it's beauty
sweet fragrance filled the air
You picked a flower from it's branch
and placed it in my hair
You said I was your princess
and you would always be my king
That you would love me now and forever
no matter what life would bring
One day our island we would find
and raise a family
We vowed our love that moonlit night
under the orchid tree
Our family now has come and gone
the children have lives of their own
And still our love is just as strong
and our orchid tree has grown
With all the silver in my hair
your princess still am I
And when I think of our special love
these happy tears I cry
With a slower walk we stroll the lane
to our beautiful orchid tree
And with a trembling hand you pick off
it's branch, a flower just for me
The full moon shines like daylight
and into my eyes you stare
You kiss my lips stroke my cheek
and place an orchid in my hair
