What Do You Do

What do you do when the sunshine
in your life has been taken away
When the rainbows and the blue skies
have turned to a dark shade of gray

What do you do when someone you love
so delicate and so small
Is used as the pawn in a chess game
or like an unfeeling baby doll

How do you tell them you love them
when they are so far away
When you can't even call or write them
and they think you have nothing to say

How do you tell your feelings
to a small picture in a frame
That your heart is sadly breaking
with loneliness and pain

My precious little baby girl
your gramma loves you dear
You have brought me so much happiness
and I miss you with me here

My lonely heart is breaking
and these tears I cry are real
Do you miss me my sweet angel
and do you feel the way I feel

I must be brave for both of us
keep faith in the Lord above
That He will guide you back to me
where you are missed and loved
