Pastel colors in a vase
a rainbow of soft hue
I keep them watered faithfully
because they came from you
I savor all their fragrance
the smell it fills my room
I gaze upon their beauty
morning night and noon
These beauties represent a bond
a friendship tried and true
A treasure forever in my heart
because they are of you
Each different flower represents
your different paths in life
But all in all they come to make
a bouquet of wondrous light
As these flowers start to fade
I hold them in my heart
My soul absorbs their beauty
our friendship cannot part
As I press these petals in a book
my dear friend do not cry
For as long as I hold you in my heart
these flowers never die
