Deep within the forest
amongst the misty dew
Live the wee folk we call faeries
With an honor tried and true

They are mystical little beings
whom in the forest live
And if you should come upon them
then your treasures you must give

Faeries are what you call them
and hard to find are they
I have searched the whole world
over now, forever and a day

I have looked high and low
near and far and more
High up in the mountains
and even at the shore

I thought I saw one once
sitting in the sun
Then his magic took me over
and was back where I had begun

I turned around, blinked my eyes
and he had gone away
Off with the other faeries
I could hear laughter as they play

Faeries dear are hard to see
most never get the chance
And if you are a lucky one
you will see him in his dance

He will sing his little song
and dance around you thrice
Introduce you to his children
and also to his wife

He will tell you all his tales
and spin you in his web
So remember this my warning
and all the words I've said

For when his spell is upon you
let me tell you this
All your treasures you will give him
infact you will insist

So if you go a wandering
in search of faeries fair
Your treasures you will gladly leave
in the forest with him there
