Just
like Daniel in the lions den
my life was closing in
I was trapped and could not
breath from all my worldly sin
My demons kept on haunting me
every day and every night
And I knew without God on my
side I would surely loose this fight
I stood humbly and I worshiped Him
and I asked my Lord to forgive
I told Him I would follow Him
if He showed me how to live
A
calmness nesteled around me
and a warmth grew within my soul
The night I let go and let God
and confessed my sins of old
Now a light shines within my heart
where once only darkenss was found
And the lions that were sent to devour me
lay peacefully on the ground
A peace has now come over me
and no longer do I fear
Just like Daniel in the lions den
my Lord is always near
