I
remember that summer way back when
I think I was eleven, or maybe I was ten
I built myself a Kool-Aid stand
I was the owner, I was da mannnnnn
I had me a dollar so I went to the store
and bought me ten packs of the juice
I begged mom for sugar some ice and some cups
and out the door I flew on the loose
I mixed me up a pitcher
of grape so cold and sweet
And then proceeded to set up a stand
And sell it on the street
First day was a big success
three dollars did I make
But ended up with 2-0-5
after mom came and took her take
Each day I would get up early
and wait for the heat of the sun
Oh how I loved making money
but when it rained I didn't make none
I always had a variety
for people to pick and choose
Orange, grape and strawberry
with these how could you lose
Lemonade was a must
and punch it was da bomb
I always had what people wanted
as I sold out on the lawn
Sometimes I wish I was a kid
with all the drinks I made
But instead of grape I would be sellin
my favorite, blueberry kool-aid
