Sail Away

Come, sail away with me
and let me be your guide
Tell me all your fantasies,
in me you can confide

Whether it be to distant lands
or not too far from home
I will steer and chart your course
wherever your heart may roam

If you fancy going to Arabia
we'll set sail on eastern winds
And listen to the tales of Aladdin
as the daylight hours dim

From there we can go Down Under
and you can be an Aussie's mate
Try and get rid of a boomerang
or be a Kangaroos date

Then stiff winds will blow us north
to merry old England we go
Just in time for tea with the Queen
while the rain and the cold fog blow

Onward we sail still farther north
where reindeer and elves abound
To the pole we go to Santa's land
and the child in all of us is found

Closer to home we set our sails
to the land of the brave and the free
Where the wild wild west was a way of life,
a cowboy and Indian we'll be you and me

Come now, sail away with me
and let me take this chance
To give you something back in love
for our friendship and our dance

You have taken me to many places
that I had never known
Guided me and shown the way
every step while I have grown

You didn't just give me roses,
for the garden was my gift
And the aroma was intoxicating,
